The story of Samad Oriental Carpets spans four generations of dedication and passion for fine rugs. It all began in 1954 when Mr. Ameer, the family’s founder, opened the first carpet store in Pakistan. With a deep appreciation for traditional craftsmanship and quality, he laid the foundation for the family legacy.

In 1958, the business expanded to Afghanistan, followed by another branch in Dubai in 1978. Each expansion reflected the family’s commitment to sourcing and offering the finest handmade carpets to new markets.

The third generation, led by Mr. Abdul Raheem, brought the family business to Southeast Asia. He opened a branch in Indonesia in 1996 and then established the Singapore branch in 1999. Today, Singapore serves as the main hub of Samad Oriental Carpets, where the company continues to thrive and grow.

Under Mr. Abdul Raheem’s leadership, the business has modernized and adapted while staying true to the family’s values of quality, authenticity, and exceptional customer service. His expertise and passion have helped Samad Oriental Carpets become a trusted name in traditional and contemporary rugs.

Now, the fourth generation, Mr. Abdul Raheem’s sons work alongside him in Singapore, bringing fresh ideas and energy to the business.
